Konza Technopolis, Kenya's flagship project under Vision 2030, is set to become a global tech hub. As part of this ambitious initiative, D&S has supplied and installed 435 solar hot water collectors at Konza University. These systems provide hot water to the administration and housing blocks for lecturers and students.

Eshisiru Primary School faced a significant challenge with its handpump, which required students and community members to wait for hours to access water, impacting their studies. Thanks to a partnership between D&S and Britam Foundation, the old hand-pump has been replaced with a solar-powered borehole pumping system.

Another year ends which has had its challenges due to the difficult general economic environment and like many businesses for D&S it has been flat, though in the circumstances not unacceptable. As usual there has been good qualitative progress in a number of areas, of particular note being the opening of D&S Tanzania's new distribution centre and offices, the ongoing construction of the game changing Tatu Engineering Centre and continued expansion of the branch network with 6 established bringing the total in Kenya to 65, over 100 in the region.
