D&S, in partnership with KEPSA Chandaria Foundation and the global peace foundation, has successfully supplied and installed a solar powered borehole pump at Kenyatta High School, which has a student population of 1,370 boys.
Access to water had been a major challenge for the school. While the Board of Management had drilled a borehole that provided fresh and abundant water, the school lacked funding for a reliable power source. The installation of the solar-powered pump has addressed this issue and will not only provide a sustainable water solution for the school but will also support the school’s tree planting initiatives on their expansive land.
This collaboration highlights D&S’s commitment to improving lives by providing sustainable solutions to communities in need. Pictured is D&S Voi branch Manager Michael Wajwanga with students from the school.
