The Davis & Shirtliff Group is the leading supplier of water and energy solutions in the region. The group is Kenyan based and operates through a network of Kenyan branches as well as regional subsidiaries in Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia, Rwanda, South Sudan, DRC and Zimbabwe. The company has a total complement of over 800 highly trained and professional staff spread across the region.

We are looking for a suitable candidate to fill the position of PAYGO Field Officer, reporting to the PAYGO Support Engineer, Nairobi Office. The candidate should have a passion for innovation and a drive to create impactful solutions that address real-world challenges.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:-

  • Installation Quality Assurance: Verify that PAYGO solar pumping systems are installed correctly and efficiently, troubleshooting any technical issues that arise.
  • Training Delivery: Provide comprehensive training to customers and installation service providers, ensuring they understand the system's operation, maintenance, and how to maximize benefits.
  • Data-Driven Insights: Gather field data about system performance, challenges, and customer feedback. This data will be crucial for product improvement and customer satisfaction.
  • Demo Farm Optimization: Help maintain the demo farm as a showcase for the technology and a powerful educational tool.

Key Qualifications and Competencies:-

  • Holder of Degree or Diploma in Electrical & Electronic / Mechatronic Engineering or closely related field from a recognized institution.
  • Experience with solar power systems, pump solutions, irrigation and equipment monitoring systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Willingness to travel extensively to customer sites.
  • Passion for renewable energy and customer-focused solutions.
  • Ability to multi-task, organize, and prioritize work.
