D&S Transforms Water Access for Remote Kitui Communities

D&S Kitui, in collaboration with humanitarian NGO partners, successfully designed, supplied and installed two solar-powered, containerised Reverse Osmosis (RO) water treatment plants in remote areas of Kitui County, where water scarcity remains a major challenge.

Each plant has a treatment capacity of 2m³/hr and incorporate an automated water dispensing station, providing communities with convenient and reliable access to safe drinking water. Powered by solar energy, the installations offer a sustainable and costeffective solution that reduces dependence on conventional power sources while addressing the challenges of water access in underserved areas. The project highlights the value of strategic partnerships and D&S's technical expertise in delivering innovative, community-focused solutions that improve health, enhance quality of life and advance its Improving Lives commitment.
