#ImprovingLives

Giving back to local communities has been a commitment of Davis & Shirtliff since its founding in 1946...

Huruma Primary School is a public primary school with 1,500 students and is located in Huruma, a large informal settlement in Nairobi. The school suffered from severe water problems for many years before a borehole was drilled by the government in 2012. The pump worked for just over 6

months before breaking down, leading to a 4 year wait for it to be revived. The school then approached D&S to assist in reviving the system. This was done by fitting a new control panel and motor and for the first time in 4 years water flow to the school resumed much to the delight of the students and close to 5,000 residents from the surrounding community.
