D&S Zambia received an award under the category CSR EXCELLENCE AWARD IN HEALTH, SAFE DRINKING WATER, SANITATION AND HYGIENE (Safe WASH) - Solar Pumping Solutions at the 4th Zambia National Responsible Business and CSR Awards.
D&S was recognized for its CSR efforts at Nyashishi Primary School located in Chongwe District where a solar water reticulation system was upgraded and installed at the primary school. The upgraded system will go a long way in providing clean and safe water to the school which accommodates over 850 pupils and the surrounding community which has over 1000 residents.
The 4th Zambia CSR Awards Gala held on the 17th of February 2023 celebrated several CSR projects implemented by organizations in the country, under the theme “Moving from Responsibility to Sustainability and Impact”. The awards are inspired by the immense contribution and involvement in the sustainable management of the environment, adoption of best business practices, empowering communities while growing the country’s economy. The Awards are also aimed at inspiring others to do good for society.
The awards are coordinated by CSR Network Zambia which is a non-profit organization whose mandate is to promote, measure and recognize responsible business practices in Zambia through training, research/impact studies, advisory services. It awards businesses and individuals for their CSR initiatives/projects during an Annual Awards Gala.
