#ImprovingLives

Giving back to local communities has been a commitment of Davis & Shirtliff since its founding in 1946...

St. Anthony’s is a school for the hearing impaired in Nkozi, a town in central Uganda, founded by Fr. Anthony and run through proceeds received from the school farm. For several months, the school had been having severe water challenges which drove them to

pursue a hand-dug well, through some support from the parents. The well was dug before the lockdown period in the country, which affected school attendance and subsequently its ability to equip the well. Through the D&S Improving Lives Initiative, the D&S Kampala Main Office donated and installed a Dayliff DSD3/7 well pump and a 2,000ltr storage tank. As part of their contribution to the project, the school erected a tank tower near the well. Thanks to the Dayliff pumping system, the school is now able to provide water for both the school’s consumption as well as its farming needs.
