Partnership Brief

Davis and Shirtliff, Sidian Bank and Aqua for All, a not-for-profit organization working towards facilitating access to water & sanitation, have partnered to set up a COVID-19 response program to bridge the service and financial gaps in the water and sanitation sector. This partnership is aimed at mobilizing additional resources in support of the Government’s emergency response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Sidian Bank and Aqua For All have set up a financing facility worth 4 million Euros, which will be used to scale up innovative solutions for water service providers through short-term financing facilities in working capital, asset and project finance. In addition, a financing facility has been made available to SMEs and individuals who may not be able to raise the capital required for water and sanitation projects.

The envisaged lending criteria includes project financing with a focus on solarisation but available for all sustainable water and sanitation solutions.

As leaders in water solutions, D&S has been chosen as the technical partner for all solarisation and other water and sanitation projects executed under this facility. As part of the D&S commitment to support communities in the fight against COVID-19, a subsidy has been granted for projects implemented under this facility.
