General Solar Water Heating Terms
- Quotation includes transport to site and installation charges for standard Solar Water Heater setups in a bungalow, maisonette or standalone residential home.
- Installation costs for non standard installations including for apartment buildings shall be subject to a site survey.
- However, quotation also does not include internal house wirings and internal plumbing which will be done by your contractor / plumber.
- The pricing in the above quote is for a design that includes collectors on the roof and the tanks on the roof.
- Since the solar hot water unit incorporates a 2kW electric booster heater, we shall need a cable (2.5mm min) to drop from the roof to a convenient switch. The hot water line will also be provided at the roof.
- Solar Hot water systems attract 14% VAT.
- The system works from direct sunlight/ heat from the sun and therefore for a cloudy day/ month an electric element is provided to boost the temperature of the water.
- Note that we require water to get to our solar hot water tank, either by gravity or through a pressurized supply. We have agreed that we will carry out a site survey to determine how the water will get to our tanks either from the existing booster pump or by gravity.
- For pressurized systems we assume the existing piping and plumbing fittings can withstand the pressure of up to 3bars and should any damage occur to the plumbing system we will not take responsibility. The Hot Water System (tank) can withstand a maximum pressure of 3bar from a pressurized system.
General Water Treatment Items Terms
- Quotation includes supply, transportation, and installation of purifiers for standard kitchen set-ups.
- Installation includes piping and electrical fittings within 1-metre of the installation area. The inlet to the purifier is connected from the existing piping network.
- Installation works for undersink units may involve drilling works in the kitchen/sink area to facilitate installation of the faucet (tap) and connection of the reject/wastewater to the kitchen drainage pipes.
- The equipment is electrically powered, therefore a 240V power outlet/socket is required within 1-metre of the installation area, otherwise, there may be additional charges for the electrical installation.
- The UV unit adapter requires protection from power fluctuations, therefore, an Automatic Voltage Stabilizer (AVS) may need to be installed in case it is not incorporated in the building/house electrical consumer unit.
- The installation area for under-sink units should be approximately 60cm x 30cm x 60cm (LxWxH) to house the undersink purifier and including the tank. Mineral waterpots, Compact RO and Water dispenser purifiers are, however, placed on table-tops.
