The Davis & Shirtliff Group, founded in 1946, is the region’s leading supplier of water and energy solutions. The Group is seeking to recruit a Procurement Officer based in Lusaka, Zambia. The successful candidate will report to the Supply Director and will be responsible for, among other duties:

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Source and evaluate suppliers to ensure value for money and quality service delivery.
  • Prepare and process purchase orders and procurement documentation.
  • Obtain and analyse quotations and negotiate favourable terms with suppliers.
  • Monitor supplier performance and maintain effective supplier relationships.
  • Reconcile vendor accounts
  • Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and relevant regulations.
  • Coordinate inventory replenishment and stock management activities.
  • Prepare procurement reports and maintain accurate purchasing records.
  • Support contract administration and vendor management processes.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Purchasing and Supply, Procurement, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of five (5) years' proven experience in procurement and purchasing.
  • Valid membership with the Zambia Institute of Purchasing and Supply (ZIPS).
  • Strong knowledge of procurement principles and supplier relationship management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and Intergrated ERP sytems
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • High level of integrity and attention to detail.

  • Ability to prioritise work, manage multiple deadlines and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
